TW Teach & Tutor

Supporting Surrey and South West London Families with Tailored Tuition, Mentoring and Home Education

CONFIDENCE ・ INDEPENDENCE ・ PROGRESS

Gentle Support, Genuine Results

When a child’s confidence in academics grows, the benefits reach far beyond results. At TW Teach and Tutor, we take the time to get to know each learner through a bespoke initial assessment programme, identifying gaps linked to their curriculum or exam board and building a plan that feels purposeful and personal.

Our approach is calm, consistent and rooted in connection. We engage each child through academics linked to their interests, helping them move forward at their own pace and make meaningful progress. We focus on individual growth, comparing each learner only to themselves.

Whether your child is catching up, preparing for an exam or simply needs to enjoy learning again, we’re here to support you both every step of the way.

We have experienced practitioners based in London and the Home Counties, offering one-to-one tuition either online or in person, depending on what works best for your family.

What We Offer

Whether your child attends a state or private school, is learning at home, or accessing alternative provision, we offer engaging, personalised one-to-one tuition shaped around their needs. Our experienced team supports a wide range of learners, including those who are neurodivergent, those who have had time out of education, or who have followed a varied or non-traditional curriculum.

We begin by evaluating your child’s current understanding, identifying any gaps, and building a clear plan. Weekly sessions provide consistent support that aligns with their school curriculum, exam board or home education goals. Every lesson is meaningful, structured and built around your child.

We offer in-person and online tuition* across:

  • Entry examinations at any stage of the independent school journey, including 7+, 11+, pre-prep and prep

  • GL, CEM and ISEB entrance exam preparation

  • KS1, KS2 and KS3 curriculum support

  • GCSE English, Maths and Science

  • Specialist tuition for neurodivergent learners and those in EOTAS

  • Home education planning and delivery

  • One-to-one mentoring for emotional or academic needs

*online tuition may only be available under certain circumstances

How We Support

Every session is tailored to your child’s individual needs and interests. While no two lessons are the same, most follow a structure designed to provide consistency, build confidence and support steady progress. Sessions may include:

  • A quick review of previous learning and homework to reinforce key concepts

  • Step-by-step teaching of new material, broken down clearly and at your child’s pace

  • Guided practice with support, encouragement and space for questions

  • Independent tasks and optional homework to deepen understanding between sessions

Time spent on each subject area is determined during the initial assessment and can be adjusted over time, based on your child’s progress and evolving needs.

This flexible structure helps children feel secure, stay motivated and make meaningful progress, while allowing space for creativity, curiosity and personal growth.

What To Expect

You can expect weekly sessions during term time, tailored to your child’s needs. Every new student receives a written initial assessment report, followed by ongoing check-ins to track progress.

Homework can be provided on request, and we offer flexible, supportive communication between sessions to answer questions or share updates.

Our payment schedules are designed to be flexible and manageable, supporting families while keeping consistency at the heart of each child’s journey.

About TW Teach and Tutor

I founded TW Teach and Tutor in 2023 after years of teaching in both the UK and Dubai. I’m a qualified teacher with a degree in Psychology, a PGCE, and a Master’s in Education focused on Restorative Justice, Zones of Regulation, and Behaviour Management. I also spent time working as a neurodiversity tutor in a prison setting, teaching functional skills.

I now tutor full time and lead TW Teach and Tutor as it continues to grow. I stay active in schools through supply teaching, which helps me keep our tuition aligned with what’s really going on in classrooms.

Since launching, every child I’ve prepared for entry exams has received an offer from their chosen school, with some awarded scholarships. More importantly, they’ve moved on with confidence. I’ve learned what works when it comes to education and exams, and I’m passionate about helping young people realise their potential and feel proud of their progress.

TW Teach and Tutor is built on personalised, high-quality support that makes a lasting difference.

Our Vision

TW Teach and Tutor began with a simple but powerful aim – to plug the gaps often left by a busy curriculum and give every child the tools they need to thrive.

With a focus on mentoring, building independence, and teaching skills that last a lifetime, our sessions are designed not just for short-term progress, but for long-term confidence. As the business has grown, so has the team, bringing together like-minded practitioners who share resources, ideas and a common commitment to helping children reach their full potential.

Confidence comes from feeling prepared and feeling one step ahead.

Through pre-teaching and personalised support, we build confidence, deepen understanding, and help children feel ready for what’s next.
